T. Power Roche rode Ataboymiley (reserve) trained by P.J. Rothwell (Race 2).
B. Barry rode Goeasyonme (FR) (reserve) trained by John Patrick Ryan (Race 2).
A. O'Sullivan rode Its Not Over Yet (reserve) trained by Oliver McKiernan (Race 3).
T. Joseph Kelly rode Johnny M (reserve) trained by E. McNamara (Race 5.
Mr. L.P. Shanahan replaced Mr H.C. Swan on Kippersandcustard, trained by John G. Carr (Race 7)(Raceday Stewards Permission)

222A Curragh To Curragh Charity Cycle Mdn Hdl

P.J. Cody, rider of Rodeo Joe, trained by David K. Walsh, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a respiratory noise in running.

E. Staples, rider of Maple Mornin, trained by D.M. Christie, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.

222B James Lohan Engineering M'dn H'dle

The Raceday Stewards advised Darren Collins, trainer of Leva Deva, that a repeat performance of his charge, who was unruly on the way to the start before being withdrawn by order of the Raceday Stewards for refusing to line up, may render the animal liable for suspension in future.

222F Campbell's Bar Ballinlough H'cap S'chase

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident after jumping the first fence in the home straight on the first circuit involving One Way Traffic, ridden by P.T. Enright, and Oogum Boogum, ridden by C.P. Millar where it appeared One Way Traffic had to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. P.T. Enright said he had to check when it got tight for a stride or two. C.P. Millar said his horse jumped right at the fence and was returning to his line. He added he wasn't aware there was a horse outside him. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found C.P. Millar was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly and having considered his clean record, the Raceday Stewards suspended him for two racedays.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident on the approach to the third last fence and landing after the third last fence involving One Way Traffic, ridden by P.T. Enright, and Il Silenzio (GB), ridden by C.D Smithers where it appeared Il Silenzio had to check and switch. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. C.D. Smithers said it got tight for him when One Way Traffic went left causing him to check and switch. P.T. Enright said his was holding his line which he felt he was entitled to do. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found P.T. Enright was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly and having considered his record (second offence), the Raceday Stewards suspended them for four racedays.

222G Brian Keenan On-Course INH Flat Race

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident in the closing stages involving Iron Sword (FR), ridden by Mr A.P. Ryan, and Rocky Alfonso, ridden by Mr D. Doyle, where it appeared they got close together. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident early in the straight involving Iron Sword (FR), ridden by Mr A.P. Ryan, Mountain Sky (GB), ridden by Mr F. Maguire, and Rocky Alfonso, ridden by Mr D. Doyle where it appeared Iron Sword ran short of room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Mr. A.P. Ryan said a gap opened and when he went for it the gap closed from the inside out. Mr. F. Maguire said he kept his line when he received contact from his inside. Mr. D. Doyle felt he kept a straight line until he received a bump on his hindquarters which turned his mount outwards. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found Mr. D. Doyle was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly and having considered his clean record, the Raceday Stewards suspended him for two racedays.

The following Raceday Stewards acted on behalf of the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board at this race meeting: Dr. Tom McDonogh (Chairman), Mr. Frankie G. Fitzsimons, Mr. Noel C. McCarthy, Dr. Paddy Molony, Mr. L. Walsh.

The Raceday Stewards suspended the "Starting procedures for tape starts" and the IHRB suspended Rule 208 (i) and Rule 209 (i).
